- Manditory Vision Exams for Illinois Children - SB0641 was passed into law in the state of Illinois on October 10, 2007. This law requires that as of January 1, 2008, all school-aged children entering kindergarten or enrolling for the first time in public, private, or parochial elementary schools in Illinois will require a vision examination. - Unwanted Eyeglasses? - Don’t throw them away, just drop off your unwanted eyeglasses into our Lions Club Recycle For Sight drop box! Your eyeglass donation is cleaned and classified by prescription. The eyeglasses are then distributed to those in need by Lions volunteers and other organizations hosting vision missions in areas around the world.
Dr. Knight has participated in some of these missions and NSEC is proud to support the Lions Club Recycle For Sight program.
